Team Gift of Life is a group of runners/walkers taking on the challenge of the 2008 Honolulu Marathon or the noncompetitive 10K walk on December 14. Each member of Team Gift of Life will be supporting the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii and Lupus Hawaii to raise awareness about the importance of organ donation and Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Here in Hawaii 156,000 adults have CKD and another 100,000 are at an increased risk for developing CKD.
The National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii is offering a special entry fee of $30 dollars with a minmum pledge amount of $100. If you do not wish to collect pledges, you can simply pay the cost that the Honolulu Marathon is charging which is $105 until Oct.31, $140 from Nov. 1-14 and $200 from Nov. 15 - Dec. 13.
*To receive the special Team Gift of Life entry fee each participant must send their entry form and payment to the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii and must be received by Oct. 28th. If entries are sent to directly to the Honolulu Marathon or after October 28th, the $30 fee with the minimum pledge requirement will not be honored.
A noncompetitive 10K Walk
There is a $35 fee to register for the Walk and a minimum pledge requirement of $100
