The National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii along with, Liberty Dialysis, Fresenius Medical Care and the Hawaii State Department of Health will be holding “Chronic Kidney Disease in the Pacific: Meeting the Challenge” professional educational conference on June 22, 23, & 24 2008. The conference will be well attended by the over 200 physicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, technicians and other healthcare professionals that provide medical care in Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa and the Commonwealth of Northern Marianas Islands. Topics will include the latest in CKD, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) current regulations, Medicare Part D, reimbursement policies, quality assurance, pediatric nephrology, transplantation, depression, outcomes-driven social work, water treatment, conflict resolution, care plans, renal disease in skilled nursing facilities, home therapies, and other pertinent educational issues.
